Details of the painting
The second painting inspired by Drew Sarich’s music. This time the song’s “The Emperor” from the second album “Let Him Go”.
Attending the concert in May left me inspired in more than just one way. This is just one outlet (the second one is me learning to play the guitar).
I struggled through this piece quite a bit and had to start over because impatience got the best of me and I ruined the paper. Art tip: be patient when using watercolors and let the layer dry completely before adding another one. And I totally went overboard with the gold but you know what? I don’t care. I love it ♥
The process video will go up as soon as I’ve recorded the voiceover for it.
The original painting is available in my new Storeenvy shop. I hope to be able to offer limited edition, hand-embellished prints at some point this year.
